About the Property

The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. It features over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, 9 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining), a luxury spa, and 7 pools including a 65' waterslide.

Responsibilities

The Spire Bar Server is responsible for service of beverage and/or food in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction. Key duties include:

• Check and maintain proper set-up and cleanliness of service station before, during, and after shift.
• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain all specials, promotions, and snacks.
• Take orders, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested; maintain memorization of all available drinks. Upsell items as appropriate.
• Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy.
• Input orders into point-of-sale system to inform the bartender and kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Present the guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return.
• Keep service station and section clean and organized at all times; serve, pre-bus, and re-set tables during the shift.
• Maintain significant menu knowledge of both the food and beverage menus.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent, preferred.
• At least two (2) years of serving experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant.
• Experience in an upscale/luxury dining environment, preferred.
• Hotel/resort experience, preferred.
• Experience with POS systems such as Micros or Agilysis.

Qualifications

• Maricopa County Food Handler Card.
• TIPS Certified.
• Title IV Certification, preferred.
• ServSafe Certified, preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certified, preferred.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. You must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and nights.
