About the role
The Offset Pressroom Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations within the Offset Pressroom, ensuring that production meets quality and schedule standards. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily shift production and overtime schedules, optimizing staffing levels and equipment availability.
- Maintains production levels, schedules, and inventories, reporting to the Plant Manager and Assistant Plant Manager.
- Resolves operational, production, and maintenance issues to ensure optimal production levels.
- Maintains prevention frequency rates and ensures compliance with safety and reporting standards.
- Ensures inventory control to avoid shortages and communicates effectively with other departments.
- Schedules outside vendors and coordinates technician and part orders.
- Supports the implementation and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
- Conducts quality inspections on products to verify conformance to specifications and orders.
- Maintains a safety culture that exceeds company requirements, ensuring all employees are aware of and comply with OSHA regulations and ISO requirements.
- Completes and maintains required paperwork, including reviewing timecards, reporting workplace hazards, and near misses to management.
- Maintains a high team spirit culture, assisting in developing pressroom employees through training and development.
- Supports the evaluation and hiring of new employees, including reviewing applications and interviewing candidates.
- Ensures all employees are aware of and comply with company and customer quality requirements and production standards.
- Collaborates with internal departments to resolve customer service/quality issues and escalate customer concerns.
- Performs general housekeeping duties in the work area.
- Wears all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintains a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and protocols.
- Attends all department/company meetings.
- Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, and documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in creative leadership roles, preferably in multi-brand environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing brand strategies.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with digital platforms (UX/UI, social media, video).
- AI-driven design tools experience (e.g., design assets, generative AI for creative workflows) preferred.
- Animation and motion graphics skills for digital and video content.
- Strong understanding of print production processes and best practices.
- Global experience preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of digital asset management systems.
Experience and Qualifications

- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with HubSpot, Jira, Microsoft Office, Sprout Social; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator); and project management tools.
- Time Management: Meeting deadlines consistently without direct supervision.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: Being adaptable to rapidly changing situations or project pivots without the support of in-person guidance, comfortable with new tools and technologies.
