About the role

Spellbook offers a suite of AI-powered legal tools that assist commercial lawyers with drafting, reviewing, and analyzing contracts. It integrates directly into Microsoft Word to surface redlines, clause suggestions, and comparative benchmarks without leaving the document. The platform includes an AI agent called “Associate” that can orchestrate workflows across multiple documents, such as generating disclosure schedules or coordinating revisions. Spellbook supports the creation of custom review rules via playbooks and maintains strict data privacy through zero-data retention policies. It is used by law firms and in-house legal teams in many countries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI-driven legal tools that enhance contract management processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Spellbook’s solutions into existing workflows.
• Optimize and improve the performance of Spellbook’s AI agents and playbooks.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new features based on user feedback and business needs.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain strong data privacy practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on AI and machine learning.
• Experience with natural language processing and machine learning algorithms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of legal industry standards and best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word.
