Responsibilities
- Provide direct treatment to children and families under the supervision of an SLP-CCC.
- Conduct speech-language screenings using age-appropriate protocols.
- Document client progress through SOAP notes and progress reports.
- Auxiliary tasks include assisting the supervising SLP during assessments, preparing materials, implementing and adjusting home programs based on SLP guidance, monitoring and maintaining speech therapy equipment, including AAC devices, acting as an interpreter for non-English-speaking families when competent, and collaborating with occupational therapists, behavioral therapists, and other professionals for holistic client care.
- Render/cancel appointments through CentralReach.
- Schedule client sessions and maintain organized charts and records.
- Support research projects, in-service training, and community education initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on client progress.
Qualifications
- SLPA License.
- Experience in speech-language pathology or related field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Tech-savvy.
