About the role
Assess patients, diagnose disorders that impact swallowing and speaking, and provide treatment. Counsel individuals and their families on ways to improve and support personalized treatment plans. Update patient records according to department processes.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Diagnose specific disorders and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy to improve patients’ communication and swallowing abilities
- Educate and counsel patients and families on strategies to support treatment goals
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with department procedures
Requirements
- Current Delaware state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) from an accredited speech-language pathology program

- Effective communication (active listening, writing, speaking, and reading comprehension)

Pay
Estimated gross weekly pay: $1,734
