About the role
The Speech Therapist at Clear Lake – AMG Specialty Hospital is responsible for screening, evaluating, and educating patients with various speech, language, dysphagia, dysarthria, voice, fluency, and cognitive deficits. They plan, direct, and conduct rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat these disorders, ensuring all treatments adhere to established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Screens and evaluates patients with speech, language, dysphagia, dysarthria, voice, fluency, and cognitive deficits.
- Plans, directs, and conducts rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat identified disorders.
- Maintains high-quality patient care standards.
Requirements
- Current Texas Speech Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist License.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Qualifications
- Desirable additional languages.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques and protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
