Speech Therapist PRN

Education / Experience

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.

Licenses / Certifications

• Active Alabama (ABESPA) Speech-Language Pathology license required.
• ASHA CCC or CFY license required.
• BLS required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must also be skilled to provide general discipline specific therapy services to meet patient care requirements.
• Skilled to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Skilled to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
• Skilled to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
• Skilled to provide a positive customer service experience to guests, visitors, and patients.
• Skilled to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Skilled in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Position requires sitting for 30% of the workday and mobility 70% of the workday.
• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
• Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
• Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
• Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• Minimal noise levels.
• Much exposure to computer work.
• Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
• Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
• Som exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Some exposure to radiation.
