Role Overview
The Speech Language Pathologist provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. They collaborate as a vital member of the interdisciplinary care team, ensuring compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and review patient information during treatment.
- Assist in collecting data on patient outcomes.
- Supervise and instruct support staff and assistants in accordance with practice acts.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
- State-issued Speech Pathologist licensure.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred: Two years of experience and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
Requirements
- Adherence to safety protocols, including vaccination policies.
- Ability to instruct and supervise support staff.
