About the Role
Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Collaborates as part of the interdisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional patient care while adhering to licensing, certification, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments and reviews patient information throughout treatment.
- Documents patient evaluations and assists in collecting data on patient outcomes.
- Supervises and instructs support staff and assistants, ensuring compliance with state and national practice acts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support patient care and departmental goals.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensure as a Speech Pathologist in the state of practice.
- Required CPR/BLS certification; ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred.
- Experience in speech-language pathology and ability to supervise support staff.
Additional Requirements
- All candidates must meet vaccination policies, including BLS certification.
- Compliance with organizational safety standards.
- Active participation in patient care, staff supervision, and documentation to ensure quality treatment and regulatory compliance.
