Speech Therapist - Home Visits

About the role

Evaluate and provide speech, language, voice, hearing, and swallowing services to patients in their homes or facilities. Develop and review treatment plans, administer diagnostic tests, and monitor patient progress. Provide patient and family education, counseling, and training on communication systems. Maintain accurate documentation, participate in care coordination, and ensure confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients’ communication and swallowing disorders
• Assist in care planning and discharge processes
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct

Requirements

• Minimum six months of experience as a speech therapist or SLP
• Current, unrestricted license and CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• TB screening and adherence to driver safety policies

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Experience in home health settings

Pay

Compensation ranges from $54 to $76 per visit or $85,400 to $117,500 annually, depending on location and skills.
