Speech Therapist Clinician Fellow

About the Role

This position is for a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services in a rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete a minimum of 36 weeks of supervised Clinical Fellowship, adhering to licensure and professional standards.
• Communicate progress and licensure status to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on areas such as cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, swallowing, and more.
• Coordinate referrals, adapt therapy programs, and promote patient safety.
• Order supplies, maintain equipment, and ensure a high standard of patient care.
• Perform assessments, develop goals, and document services accurately.
• Instruct patients on communication devices and facilitate hearing assessments and referrals.
• Evaluate patient progress, modify treatment plans, and perform routine reexaminations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Licensure, certification, or credentials as required by state.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt therapy techniques to individual needs.
