Responsibilities
- Help patients regain their ability to communicate, swallow, and address disorders or deficits.
- Design and implement rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Collaborate with patients to execute and refine these plans.
- Adapt to the unique needs of each patient and enjoy the variety of work and settings.
- Assist in maintaining and cleaning equipment used in therapy sessions.
- Participate in meetings and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain open communication with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Train patients and caregivers on the skills necessary to promote independence and productivity.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a related field recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Licensure, certification, or credentialing as required by the state of practice.
