Responsibilities

  • Help patients communicate, swallow, and diminish or remediate disorders or deficits
  • Take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services
  • Design plans and work with patients to execute those plans
  • Address the whole patient as an individual and design programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance their speech and communication abilities
  • Adapt to the needs of patients and find joy in the variety of work and settings
  • Clean equipment, report, and participate in meetings
  • Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients get the care they need
  • Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly-titled area consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow, or eligibility to obtain the Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice

Pay

USD $40.00 - $44.00 /Hr.
