Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Speech Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients.
• If CFY, must be supervised by the SLP clinical supervisor (SLP clinical supervisor available).
• Assist with patient screens for Speech Therapy.
• Communicate progress and barriers towards SLP goals with interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete timely Speech therapy documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, facility, and payor requirements.
• Avoid maintenance of rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods.
• Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each speech therapy patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow up.
• Maintain productivity standards as expected by Director of Rehab or Administrator.

Requirements

• Current Texas licensure as a Speech Therapist or Speech Therapy CFY.
• New grads welcome to apply.
