Role Overview: Seeking a flexible PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide acute care coverage, including weekend and holiday shifts. The role involves assessing and treating communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to support patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients and develop individualized speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing plans of care in collaboration with physicians.Implement treatment plans, select appropriate activities, and revise goals based on patient progress.Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans according to departmental standards.Act as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment. Qualifications & Skills Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and BLS certification.Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.Commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and professional development. Additional Requirements: Adherence to regulatory standards, participation in ongoing education, and ability to work collaboratively in a hospital environment.
