Role Overview: A PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing acute care coverage, focusing on communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians to optimize patient outcomes. Key Duties: Conduct patient assessments and establish care plans aligned with patient and family goals.Implement and adjust speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing therapies.Document evaluations, treatment sessions, discharge instructions, and referrals per departmental standards.Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and follow-up care.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain confidentiality.Participate in team meetings, professional development, and mandatory trainings.Adhere to ethical practices, promote diversity, and foster a respectful environment.Apply excellent communication skills, teamwork, and customer service principles, including AIDET. Qualifications & Skills: Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and BLS certification.Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
