About the role
Pediatric Rehabilitation Services provides inpatient and outpatient PT, OT and SLP services to patients birth to 21 years of age at the Spartanburg Medical Center-Church Street campus. SMC-CS is a division of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and is ranked #2 in South Carolina by U.S. News and World Report in 2020-2021. It is an acute care Baby-Friendly® hospital with a Level III NICU located directly above Pediatric Rehabilitation Services, creating an excellent continuum of care for our therapy patients. Equine Assisted Therapy and Aquatics are offered at alternate locations.
Responsibilities
- Provides speech-language pathology services to patients in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation facilities.
- Assesses patient needs through standardized tests and observations.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Evaluates progress toward treatment goals and modifies treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Participates in staff meetings and continuing education activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in South Carolina.
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm.
