About the role
Provides speech therapy services to patients with speech, language, or swallowing disorders.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology or foreign equivalent (required)
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice (required)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy (required)
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older (required)
Responsibilities
- Assesses and documents speech therapy data related to patient assessments, care needs, interventions, and outcomes
- Identifies changes and trends in physical and emotional parameters
- Reviews treatment plans and assesses individual performances to modify, change, or write new programs
- Maintains documentation as required by law, establishment policy, and administrative regulation
- Instructs patients on ways to monitor speech and practice new skills
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $45.39 to $62.26 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.
