About the role
Provides speech therapy services to patients with speech, language, or swallowing disorders in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess, document, and monitor patient speech, language, and swallowing functions.
- Review and modify treatment plans based on individual progress and needs.
- Instruct patients on techniques to improve communication and swallowing skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal and organizational policies.
- Identify clinical trends and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensed as a Speech Pathologist in the practice state.
- Current CPR/BLS certification from an approved provider.
- Preferred: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Valid driver’s license and age of at least 21 years.
- Facility-specific certifications as required, such as AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS, and state-specific licensure.
Additional Requirements
- Commitment to patient safety and organizational policies.
- Ability to perform assessments, modify treatment plans, and instruct patients effectively.
- Compliance with vaccination policies and participation in E-Verify process.
