Speech Pathologist - Full Time First Shift

Job Description

The Therapist I supports Valley Health's mission and vision by providing high-quality, best-practice service to its customers. They work in various rehab settings, are part of the interdisciplinary team, respond to physician referrals, assess patient needs, and provide specific interventions to enhance safety and independence.

The Therapist I is responsible for maintaining professional competence, identifying learning opportunities, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services. They also contribute to departmental and organizational initiatives and stay updated with relevant communications.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate Certificate, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Therapy
• SLP License - Virginia/West Virginia licensure or transitional license at time of hire required
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills or participation in training within the first year of employment
• Competent to interact with patients based on their special needs
• Proficient in providing discipline-specific interventions
