About the role

Cross Country Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Waldorf, Maryland, for a local contract position lasting 41 weeks, 40 hours per week with 8‑hour shifts. The role supports elementary students’ communication and academic needs under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized speech‑language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Provide direct therapy services and activities targeting speech, language, articulation, fluency, and functional communication skills.
• Collect and document student performance data, monitor progress toward therapy goals, and communicate updates with the supervising SLP.
• Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and families to reinforce speech‑language strategies across classroom and school environments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field.
• Valid Maryland Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License/Credential.
• Experience working with elementary‑aged students in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
