Position Details
Start Date: ASAP - May 22, 2026
Hours: 7.5 hrs. per day/37.5 hrs. per week
Grade Levels: K-12 students
Location: Anchorage, Alaska - Onsite Only
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapy services to students as directed by a supervising SLP
- Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills
- Support implementation of individualized therapy plans and monitor progress
- Aid in documentation, data collection, and preparation of therapy materials
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals in the classroom and other educational settings
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and school procedures
- Participate in supervision and training as required
- Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions to promote speech and language development
- Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes
- Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Active SLPA license or certification in Alaska (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
