About the Role

The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supports speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech/Language Pathologist. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care to develop language, oral-motor control, and communication skills, as well as serving as a receptionist, managing schedules, and maintaining clinic organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering therapy services across age groups from infants to adults
  • Document patient progress and communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • Participate in professional development and departmental program development
  • Perform clerical tasks such as greeting patients, scheduling, and managing supplies
  • Adhere to safety, confidentiality, and organizational standards

Requirements

  • Active SLPA license in the practice state
  • Ability to perform essential duties with effective communication and visual acuity
  • Experience or education in speech-language pathology or communication disorders preferred
