About the role
PM Kidz is a multidisciplinary pediatric practice in Waldorf and Hollywood, MD, seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join their Speech Therapy Program.
Responsibilities
- Implement Treatment Plans
- Under the guidance of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), conduct therapy sessions and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Support clients during therapy sessions by helping them practice exercises and activities that target speech, language, and swallowing improvement.
- Document Client Progress
- Accurately record and document each client’s progress during therapy sessions, including treatment goals, objectives, and session outcomes.
- Provide Therapy Support
- Support clients during therapy sessions by helping them practice exercises and activities that target speech, language, and swallowing improvement.
- Educate and Support Clients and Families
- Provide education and guidance to clients and their families, explaining therapy strategies, recommending home practice activities, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Requirements
- Licensed/Eligible to apply license in MD
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Pediatric Clinical Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Professional, enthusiastic, and caring demeanor with great communication skills
