About the role
You will evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders
- Manage caseload documentation using electronic medical records
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility environments preferred
- Experience with dysphagia assessment and management and modified barium swallow (MBS) familiarity preferred
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active South Dakota state license or ability to obtain state license prior to assignment start
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC, if required by facility
Qualifications
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility environments preferred
- Experience with dysphagia assessment and management and modified barium swallow (MBS) familiarity preferred
- Able to manage caseload documentation using electronic medical records preferred
