About the role

Join our team as a travel Speech-Language Pathologist and use your clinical skills to improve communication and swallowing outcomes in a skilled nursing facility in Taylor, MI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.
  • Conduct clinical bedside swallowing evaluations and instrumental assessments (VFSS/FEES) as needed.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Document patient progress in electronic medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Active Michigan state SLP license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including clinical bedside swallowing evaluations and instrumental assessments (VFSS/FEES) coordination, preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation in SNF settings preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.

Schedule

Days 08:30–16:30. Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week.
