About the role

Provide skilled evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility in Prophetstown, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language therapy sessions
  • Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Document patient progress in electronic medical records
  • Perform instrumental assessments such as FEES or MBSS

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
  • Active Illinois SLP license required to start the assignment
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
  • Experience working in skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings preferred
  • Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including instrumental assessments (e.g., FEES or MBSS), preferred
  • Experience with documentation in electronic medical records preferred

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirements include a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, completed CFY, current ASHA certificate, active Illinois SLP license, BLS certification, and experience in SNF settings and dysphagia evaluation.
