Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract
About the role
Provide skilled evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility in Prophetstown, IL.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language therapy sessions
- Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders
- Document patient progress in electronic medical records
- Perform instrumental assessments such as FEES or MBSS
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
- Active Illinois SLP license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings preferred
- Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including instrumental assessments (e.g., FEES or MBSS), preferred
- Experience with documentation in electronic medical records preferred
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements include a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, completed CFY, current ASHA certificate, active Illinois SLP license, BLS certification, and experience in SNF settings and dysphagia evaluation.
