About the role
Provide assessment and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Lumberton, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities.
- Treat patients using evidence-based practices to improve their communication and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, and physical therapists to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
- Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Active New Jersey state license or ability to obtain prior to assignment start.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility settings preferred.
- Experience with dysphagia management, modified barium swallow interpretation, and treatment planning preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New Jersey.
- Must have a current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Must hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Preferred experience in skilled nursing facility settings.
- Preferred experience with dysphagia management, modified barium swallow interpretation, and treatment planning.
