About the role

You’ll help patients improve communication and swallowing disorders while exploring a new part of the country.

Responsibilities

  • Help patients improve communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Work in Skilled Nursing Facility settings.
  • Provide dysphagia management and cognitive-communication therapy.
  • Float to other affiliated facilities as required by the client.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Active Alabama SLP license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience working in Skilled Nursing Facility settings preferred.
  • Experience providing dysphagia management and cognitive-communication therapy preferred.
  • Willingness to float to other affiliated facilities as required by the client.

Qualifications

  • Current Alabama SLP license.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday with one weekend rotation per month.
