Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

About the role

Join our team as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a skilled nursing facility, where you will evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and document progress to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy according to evidence-based practices
• Contribute to care planning and documentation
• Support improved communication and swallowing outcomes
• Assist in discharge planning and functional improvement

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Active Ohio SLP license
• BLS certification (may be required)
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
• Familiarity with dysphagia assessment and instrumental assessments (e.g., FEES, MBSS) is a plus
• Ability to manage caseloads and collaborate with rehab team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel therapy experience
• Experience with electronic medical records
• Comfort providing therapy across varied acuity levels and care plans
