Speech Language Pathologist / Speech Therapist / SLP

About the role

The primary purpose of the position is providing and directly speech therapy services to patients which may include adult and/or geriatric persons. The goal of helping them reach their maximum performance potential within a medical model of practice shall occur.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Assess and evaluate patients' speech and language abilities.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Document progress and outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere to all professional and legal standards of practice.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Michigan.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or related healthcare setting preferred.
