About the Role
Performs testing and evaluation procedures on patients to assess disabilities, injuries, and diseases related to speech and/or swallowing disorders. Uses a variety of therapeutic techniques, as prescribed by a physician, to promote functional independence and improve quality of life. Other duties may be assigned as needed by the supervisor.
Responsibilities

- Ensure all interactions with patients, the public, physicians, and hospital personnel are conducted in a friendly, courteous, and considerate manner.
- Answer telephones promptly and courteously, providing assistance or explaining procedures as needed.
- Dedicate efforts to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers, identifying problem areas, and recommending solutions.
Requirements
- Current Florida-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist or Provisional SLP License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Experience in Video Fluoroscopy Swallowing Evaluation is preferred for Acute Care.
- FEEs (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) experience is a plus.
- Must pass background and drug test screenings.
