Speech Language Pathologist, SLP/ST (Jamaica, Queens)- Home Care

About the role

Personal Touch Home Care is expanding its Special Needs Program and seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide fee‑for‑service, per‑visit home‑based therapy. This is a 1099 contracted position requiring a valid and active New York State license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide therapy to individuals of all ages, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.
• Valid professional license and registration for the state of New York.
• Experience with long‑term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Demonstrated good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Preference for two (2) years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist.
• Home health experience is preferred.

Pay

$100.00 per visit.
