Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), PRN
About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position at Kent Hospital is a PRN, non-exempt role. It requires a minimum of 2 shifts per month and at least one weekend and holiday shift annually. The ideal candidate will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for patients by improving their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients' progress in speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members
- Document care in compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards
- Provide education to families or nursing staff on follow-through programs
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Requirements
- Graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meet ASHA certification requirements
- Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered
- Minimum of six (6) months of speech therapist/speech language pathologist experience working with adult and geriatric populations
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS)
Qualifications
- Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA

Pay
$55.00 hourly range
Schedule
Acute Care Rehabilitation Services Med/Surg, with a minimum of 2 shifts per month and at least one weekend and holiday shift annually.
