Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)- Per Diem

About the role

Speech Pathologists (SLP) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment to chronic, critically ill patients at Select Specialty Hospital - Tucson Northwest.

Responsibilities

• Takes initiative, responsibility, and action every day
• Evaluates communication skills and/or swallowing function
• Provides goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential
• Maintains an adequate stock of supplies
• Participates in peer review for staff performance and appraisals
• Assists in the development of the SLP role in programs and services
• Assists in maintaining an adequate stock of supplies
• Shares professional knowledge and experience

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment

• Understanding of communication skills, evaluation, and treatment

$55.00 per hour
