Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Per Diem
About the role
California Rehabilitation Institute, a joint venture with Cedars, UCLA, and Select Medical, is seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for our Outpatient Therapy clinic in Century City / Los Angeles, CA. We specialize in providing care to patients with neurologic injuries or disorders (CVA, BI, SCI, PD, etc.) and other conditions, focusing on coordinated, multidisciplinary care with PT, OT, and SLP services. This role emphasizes smooth transitions through the continuum of care.
We are looking for an SLP who contributes to clinic growth, is committed to high-quality patient care, values teamwork and communication, and can work with minimal supervision. While adult neuro experience is preferred, other candidates may be considered. Specializations are preferred but not required. The ideal candidate must be able to treat all areas of adult SLP practice, including cognitive, speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Clinic hours range from 8 am - 5:15 pm, Monday through Friday, with primarily 1:1 patient care. This schedule is subject to change based on patient care and market needs. Unable to accommodate CFY applicants at this time.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
- Delegates and directs all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
- Designs functional treatment programs to facilitate an effective return to community activities.
- Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, co-workers, and self.
- Performs other professional duties associated with patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery design.
- Coordinates treatment programs in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services, community resources, and available support.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
- Certified Clinical Supervisor (CLS) or completion within the first 90 days of employment required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
Post-offer employment testing (POETs) is completed as part of the onboarding process before the employee's first day of work.

Pay
Increased per diem rate of $69.00 per hour with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
