About the Role
Evaluate and provide skilled speech-language therapy in home settings, including homes, assisted living, and memory care. Treat patients with language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication difficulties, voice disorders, and those needing augmentative communication. Work with patients who have experienced strokes or have progressive conditions like Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide skilled speech-language therapy in home settings
- Treat patients with language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication difficulties, voice disorders, and augmentative communication needs
- Support patients who have experienced strokes or have progressive conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and dementia
Requirements
- Valid state SLP license
- Valid driver’s license
- Automobile liability insurance
- Dependable transportation in good condition
- Ability to drive in all weather conditions
- Must wear seat belts at all times while driving
