About the role
The Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP) at Gunnison Valley Health will provide compassionate and high-quality patient care in a specialty clinic setting, ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients while supporting the clinic's mission and goals.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s Degree from an approved program of Speech/Language Pathology.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years experience clinical training with a variety of client populations.
- Licenses/Certification: Must hold a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence outlined by ASHA. Maintenance of CPR or BLSS.
Responsibilities
- Designing individualized treatment programs appropriate to achieving short and long-term goals, in collaboration with the patient or the patient’s caregiver.
- Demonstrating awareness of the patient’s status by making program changes in response to changes in the patient or his environment.
- Performing adult and geriatric dysphagia evaluations appropriately according to the ASHA practice standards.
- Documenting prognosis including predicted optimal level of improvement in function. Short-term goals are clear, measurable, functional, and time specific. Long-term goals are clear, measurable, functional, and time specific.
Benefits
- Compensation: $39.25/hr - $58.88/hr, depending on experience.
- Physical Requirements: Occasionally (0-33%), Frequently (34 – 66%), Continuously (37 -100%).
- Shift: Day, 30 hours weekly, flexible scheduling, opportunity to increase to 40 hours weekly when volumes support.
- Status: FT.
