Position Details
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will serve students in Early Intervention and Preschool Programs. They will work in both center-based and community-based settings, including home visits as needed. One SLP will float between ECLC (Ruby Rd.) and ECE (Johnstown Rd.), while the other will be assigned primarily to ECE (Johnstown Rd.).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out speech and language evaluations and assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide parent education and support regarding communication development.
Position Details
- Two openings available.
- Schedule: 32 Hours Per Week.
- Contract Length: 39 Weeks.
- Start Date: August 17, 2026.
- Hours: Approximately 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
- Classroom Environment: Push-In / Pull-Out Services.
- Assignment Type: Float/Sub.
- Medical Support Level: Level 3.
- Behavioral Support Level: Medium.
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- ODE License.
- Recent experience in a school-based or pediatric SLP role.
- Ability to perform evaluations, treatment planning, and therapy services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Prior experience with Early Intervention and Preschool populations.
Compensation
- Local SLP: $65.00/hour, estimated weekly gross: $2,080.
- Experienced SLP: $70.00/hour, estimated weekly gross: $2,240.
