About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients in a skilled nursing setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support diverse patient needs including orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and modify therapy goals for patients
- Document progress and ensure compliance with regulations
- Conduct patient assessments and charting
- Use software and other tools to support therapy delivery
- Support patient safety and comfort
Requirements
- Graduate degree in speech therapy (MS or MA)
- Active state licensure
- ASHA certification or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and independent decision-making skills
- Knowledge of body mechanics and professionalism
- Adherence to confidentiality and organizational policies
- Demonstrated good judgment, teamwork, and dependable attendance
