About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients in a skilled nursing setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support diverse patient needs including orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and modify therapy goals for patients
  • Document progress and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Conduct patient assessments and charting
  • Use software and other tools to support therapy delivery
  • Support patient safety and comfort

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in speech therapy (MS or MA)
  • Active state licensure
  • ASHA certification or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and independent decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of body mechanics and professionalism
  • Adherence to confidentiality and organizational policies
  • Demonstrated good judgment, teamwork, and dependable attendance
