Position Overview
St. Francis Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.
Position Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Provide skilled therapy services to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CF candidates may be considered where applicable.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or post-acute rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of dysphagia assessment and treatment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
