About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients based on physician referrals, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and establish therapy goals for patients
  • Implement individualized treatment plans
  • Chart patient progress and document outcomes
  • Utilize therapy software for record-keeping and planning
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in community health projects
  • Ensure patient safety and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain reliable attendance and professional conduct
  • Supervise speech therapy students (Clinical Fellowship Year candidates)
  • Follow prescribed treatment plans and perform physical activities as needed

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in speech therapy (MS or MA)
  • ASHA certification or eligibility for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Active state licensure in the applicable state
  • CPR certification

Qualifications

  • Preferred: one year of experience (new graduates are welcome)
