About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients based on physician referrals, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess and establish therapy goals for patients
- Implement individualized treatment plans
- Chart patient progress and document outcomes
- Utilize therapy software for record-keeping and planning
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in community health projects
- Ensure patient safety and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain reliable attendance and professional conduct
- Supervise speech therapy students (Clinical Fellowship Year candidates)
- Follow prescribed treatment plans and perform physical activities as needed
Requirements
- Graduate degree in speech therapy (MS or MA)
- ASHA certification or eligibility for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Active state licensure in the applicable state
- CPR certification
Qualifications
- Preferred: one year of experience (new graduates are welcome)
