About the Role
We specialize in providing individualized care plans for pediatric patients, enabling them to reach their highest potential in a therapeutic and comfortable environment. Responsibilities
- Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
- Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
- Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient, and advise on specific speech therapy modalities and interventions.
- Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
- Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources, and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program.
- May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
- Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP.
- License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
- Experience in pediatrics required.
- Home health experience preferred.
- Feeding experience a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
