About the role

The Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team in West Orange, NJ. We offer a competitive compensation package including a salary range of $84,500.00 - $115,928.49 per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs and physician direction.
  • Delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
  • Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, co-workers, and self.
  • Perform other professional duties associated with patient care, development of therapy services, and program delivery.
  • Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs to maximize outcomes and return to community activities.
  • Coordinate treatment programs in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services and available community resources.

Requirements

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience.
  • Certified BLS through American Heart Association.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Experience working with patients who have brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule
