About the Role
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehab care to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess, develop, and modify treatment plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
- Oversee and evaluate therapy provided by CFYs (for CCC-certified SLPs)
- Document patient progress
- Utilize therapy software
- Ensure patient safety and satisfaction
- Participate in community health projects
- Maintain professional relationships and confidentiality
- Follow all policies and regulations
- Establish and evaluate goals
- Chart accurately
- Assist in patient evacuation
- Demonstrate dependable attendance while adhering to compliance standards
Requirements
- MS or MA in speech therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure and ASHA certification or eligibility
- CPR certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, decision-making, and professionalism skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform essential functions
