About the role
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a growing rehabilitation team in Red Oak, Iowa. This is a great opportunity for an experienced SLP or a new graduate looking to build a rewarding career in a supportive healthcare environment. The position provides the opportunity to work with patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics, in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, assess, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Provide speech therapy services primarily in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic.
- Provide some inpatient speech therapy services as needed.
- Work with patients recovering from stroke and other neurological conditions.
- Address dysphagia and swallowing-related needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and other members of the rehabilitation team.
- Participate in patient and staff education.
- Assist with development of new programs and services.
- Participate in in-services and support the growth of the rehabilitation department.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the position.

Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (M.A. or M.S.)
- Appropriate Iowa SLP licensure or eligibility for Iowa licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care

$42-$52 per hour, based on experience
