Speech-Language Pathologist, Rehabilitation Unit Therapy (Registry)
About the role
Responsible for administration and direct application of speech/language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Evaluates, plans, directs, and treats all patients referred to speech/language. Provides supervision of students.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Performs all job duties or tasks as assigned and adheres to all requirements, regulations, and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Complies with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Holds a Master’s degree from an approved college or school of speech/language pathology.
- Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as Speech Pathologist). May work on an active temporary permit for those in their clinical fellowship year or clinical practicum and/or waiting to take the national examination; must complete this requirement within one year.
- Knowledge of principles and practice of speech pathology.
- Performance of technical skills related to speech pathology.
- Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique, and related impact on rehabilitative medicine practice and equipment.
- Current BLS certification.
Pay
Starting wage $37.43/hour. Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience.
