About the role
A Speech-Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, swallowing, and related disorders.
Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and adjust therapy techniques based on patient progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure safety standards.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses, treatment goals, and long-term outcomes.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress accurately and timely per departmental policies.
- Supervise and mentor Speech Pathology students, Clinical Fellowship Candidates, and therapy aides, offering performance feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and adhere to policies and regulations.
- Support departmental and organizational initiatives, maintain productivity standards, and manage equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensure from the relevant licensing board or SLP Compact Commission.
- BLS certification.
- Strong clinical competency, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively within a team.
