About the role
Evaluate and treat patients, document in the EMR, and educate patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial, discharge, and swallow assessments with accurate documentation and billing.
- Develop and execute treatment plans aligned with funding and regulatory requirements.
- Provide patient education on oral intake and cognitive/language strategies post-discharge.
- Participate in discharge planning and offer post-discharge service recommendations.
- Serve as a clinical instructor/mentor for interns.
- Demonstrate competency through skills checks and training.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Communication Disorders.
- Licenses and certifications: BLS-I and Speech-Language Pathologist certification.
- Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
