Speech Language Pathologist (PRN)

Facility: Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center • Location: Boynton Beach, Florida

About the role

Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will help residents regain and strengthen their communication and swallowing abilities, improving their independence and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech, language, and swallowing therapy programs
• Provide therapy sessions and adjust treatment plans based on resident progress and needs
• Assess and recommend adaptive communication devices when appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care plans
• Supervise therapy assistants and provide guidance or training as needed
• Participate in resident care conferences and maintain accurate documentation of progress and outcomes

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Florida Speech Language Pathologist license (or eligibility for licensure)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligible
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Passion for delivering compassionate, resident-centered care
